Eastern Middle School has been under construction for the past several month with the newest addition to the school. Safety and security is a high priority for everyone, and in order to continue to improve safety for students and staff, a new secure entry was a key factor in doing so at Forest Hills Eastern Middle.
With the addition of the new office, which includes a secure entry vestibule, school security and staff will have a clear line-of-sight to whoever approaches the building. Other impactful items that were added in this addition were a health room with attached bathroom, opportunity rooms for kids that may need space to cool down or need assistance from school staff for any reason, counselor offices, a spacious conference room, and plenty of storage.
Staff will be able to move into the space before the end of the 2024-25 school year.
