Today we caught up with the construction crews at Forest Hills Central Athletic Stadium. While the cold weather has added an additional challenge of working outside, our construction team is thankful to have made tremendous progress during the unseasonably warmer months of December and January. (A little snow won't slow us down!)

The work currently under construction includes a new 4,000 sf athletic events building, located underneath the home team bleachers. The bleachers themselves are also being rebuilt to accommodate additional spectators and more flexibility for events. The facility will house a state-of-the-art team room with dedicated restrooms, new press box, new restroom facilities for the community, and ample flexible storage space.
Bleacher installation is a "specialty" trade - meaning there are dedicated workers who exclusively build bleachers for a living. The company installing FHC's new bleachers is local to West Michigan, but travels throughout the country for most of their projects. Crews expressed gratitude to be working close to home this year.

Work completed last year included a new concessions + team room building, entry plaza, digital score board, stadium lighting, track and fields space, and upgrades to the running track.
